Milan Kosovic Industrial Design or MKID. is a strategic innovation consultancy that uses deep cultural immersion and tailored processes to create, transform and future-proof brands and products. Based in Sweden with a global outlook, I have worked in design management, strategy and creative direction positions on a variety of projects. The results has been visible in both transformational impact, revenues and from long term brand building perspectives.
Axkid has been a reputable player in the car seat industry, known for safety and innovation on a global scale. In 2023, the company took a new step by expanding beyond cars to transform and enhance bicycle traffic safety.
The first product, Axkid Grand Tour, was developed in close collaboration between Axkid and MKID. It's a versatile product with a strong emphasis on user-friendliness and safety.
On September 1, 2023, Tretorn launched its first collection of high-tech, self-developed padel rackets.
MKID has designed and engineered all models from concept ideas to prototypes to tooling. The collaboration has so far resulted in five rackets with technical features that cater to everyone from recreational players to world-class athletes.
Establishing a young Swedish brand on a global top level. Between 2016 and 2021, MKID was in charge for the design direction, brand implementation and industrial design. The assignment helped the company to reach 100+ msek in revenue, from 30 msek when the assignment started 2016. Axkid Connect, that MKID worked on together with Techno Creatives, received the prestigious Red Dot Design Award 2021.

Solros (Swedish for sunflower) is a Swedish stratup on a quest to utilise the sun for lighting purposes. Milan Kosovic has since early stage been a part of the company and the creative team of engineers, developers and designers with one (main!) thing in common: we want to develop products and services for a sustainable future – and we want to make them better working, better looking and more socially just than ever before.
Sekt is founded by Milan Kosovic and Lovisa Hansson, and was born from a conviction and a vision – to manufacture quality products locally, sustainably and without compromise.
Sekt works with small-scale manufacturers in Sweden and nearby, where social and material sustainability is a matter of course.
The products are based on exclusivity, durability and a long life through the choice of materials, such as solid bronze, mouth-blown glass, steel and porcelain, which age beautifully over time and use.
All products are designed, developed and distributed by the duo.
Byggfabriken manufactures a large range of premium products for renovation, restoration and decoration for old and semi-modern buildings and interiors in a Scandinavian tradition.
MKID was engaged to design Byggfabrikens pilot products in old style, high quality materials that are suitable for both old and new constructions and meet modern required standards.
BRITAX GO NEXT / GO BIG
The Go platform has been developing since the launch in 2008 and is one of the best pram and stroller systems on the market. The 2015-17 collections are done by MKID together with the Britax in-house team. MKID was engaged through the whole process, from the assortment architecture ideas to the design of the final product details.
Britax Go Big was awarded as "Best in test" by German Stiftung Warentest 2017.
ZENZR offers a complete wireless platform for digitalized quality control. With modern sensor technology and artificial intelligence, ZENZR transform real data into useful information in real time. MKID was in charge for hardware design and product development support.
NEW CLASSICS
Classic BRIO toys are part of the great Swedish design heritage known for its simplicity and quality. New Classics are a new contribution meeting today’s consumer requirements by hitting the border between toys and furniture.
BRIO New Classics invite children to enjoy their playful shapes and attract adults to use them as natural complements to the home interior. Their abstract, non-gender-specific shapes can become animals or cars and bicycles during play. Their dimensions and optimal seat height is easy to manage even by the youngest users.
SPIN & WOBBLE
Non- figurative and non-gender-specific toys that encourage the idea of open-ended play, a collection that can be passed down from generation to generation. Wobbles are two identical bodies, but in reality they are two contrasts to each other. Spin grows with the child, from being a teething ring to showcasing the centrifugal force as a spin top.
